Stone faces

My Canadian friend from school, Barney, is in Italy at present.  His family visited Pompeii, and look what he found.

It made me think, shall we have a competition, just the three of us, to see who finds the best stone face in Malaysia?  Post here, but only one entry each.

Rocks that Look Like Faces Museum in Chichibu,- the Chinsekikan (Hall of Curious Rocks) has 1,700 stones!

Yoshiko Hayama, the daughter of the man who started this amazing collection, said her Father hoped it would become known throughout the world.

Many people do already know, but in case you are among those who don't - now you do!  (More details in previous post.)

Searching online.....

Sort of ridiculous......

Since Alex first started the blog he has published items contributed by Sandy and Lexie, acknowledging them, (us!) and we have just realized, as we are all Alex, anyone of us can post our own.  (You may have to guess who has written them!)

Lots here of interest, not just about beachcombing!

Buoys, milk crate just some of the trash Scottish beachcomber keeps finding from N.S.

The items from Nova Scotia that end up in the Orkney Islands make their way across the ocean thanks to the currents in place.

Biggest supermoon in living memory set for November 14th - and you won't get to see anything like it again until 2034

It is set to be an incredible astronomical show - and one which won't appear again until 2034.

On November 14th, the Moon will be the closest to Earth it's been since January 1948.

During the event, it will appear up to 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than an average full moon.
